Perfect Fix™ Concentrate

  • Perfect Fix Concentrate is a rapid ammonium thiosulfate based fixer for fast fixing - 30 seconds at a dilution of 1:3 - 1:9.
  • Recommended usage temperature is 65° - 75°F.

Instructions:

 

FOR FILM: With normal agitation, fix film for twice the time that it takes to clear the emulsion from the film base. To make this test, use a scrap piece of the same type emulsion. When the clearing time doubles from the original clearing time, the fixer is exhausted and should be disposed of.

  • Add 1 ounce of Tech Chem Hardener for every 8 ounces of Perfect Fix Concentrate AFTER the fixer is diluted. Add water for final volume.

  • For best results, the temperature of the fixer should be about the same as the developer.

  • NOTE: The higher the dilution ratio, the slower the fixing time.

FOR PAPER: Hardener is NOT recommended when fixing paper.

  • Fix prints for 2 minutes.

  • For archival processing, limit the throughput to four 8" x 10" prints or the equivalent (320 sq. in.) per quart of diluted fixer.

Film Hardener  

  • Use Hardener to protect films from scratching. Make sure you add the Hardener to the DILUTED fixer - never add to fixer concentrate.
